Self-Sufficiency Programs and Essential Supportive Services

Our Self-Sufficiency Programs are designed to assist participants in setting goals, removing barriers, and achieving self-sufficiency.

Personal Assessment Program
Learn how to change your life for the better! Work toward developing your own self-sufficiency plan with the help of our staff using the Personal Assessment Ladder, a self-measuring program that will enable you to track your success!

Steps to Excellence for Personal Success (STEPS) is a 2-day workshop for individuals who want to make positive changes in their lives. Participants learn how to set goals, manage change, and increase positive thinking, motivation, and self-confidence. The program guides individuals toward understanding and acceptance of three key potential builders:

  • Deep Awareness, understanding and appreciation of an individual's hidden resources.
  • A stronger belief in the participant's ability to attempt great things and succeed.
  • Expanded vision of the many possibilities and alternatives which are available to the individual that he or she may now be missing.

Increasing Your Causative Power is a seminar, similar to STEPS, tailored to meet the special needs of today's youth, ages 12-18 years, for their positive growth and development.

Computer Recycling Program and Technology Resource Center

Community Action Partnership of Natrona County is sponsoring a new AmeriCorps*VISTA project designed to help gap the digital divide. This project’s focus is on the creation of a computer recycling program and a technology resource center for low-income individuals. The VISTA members will seek donations of used computers, with the help of volunteers restore them to working form and then redistribute them to low-income individuals for use in their homes. The computer resource center will offer a variety of basic computer classes taught by community volunteers as well as the opportunity for individuals to learn skills by working at their own pace through various computer programs.
