Life Steps Transitional Housing

Through a HUD Continuum of Care subcontract with the Casper Housing Authority, CAPNC operates a six-unit transitional housing program for homeless families with children. The families participating in this program will live in transitional housing from 3 months to 2 years. The goal of the program is to help families become self-sufficient through personal growth, education, skills development, and/or employment.

Housing Maintenance

We offer help to low-income homeowners needing minor repairs to their homes. We partner with the City of Casper Housing and Community Development Department to provide this service. Funds only pay for repairs and improvements that are above the guidelines of weatherization assistance. Examples of minor home repairs include plumbing, roof repair, wiring, window and door improvements, cleaning and tuning heating systems, construction and repair of entryways.

Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation

Utilizing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) we sub-contract with the City of Casper Housing and Community Development Department to provide financial assistance for low to moderate income homeowners of Natrona County, living outside the Casper city limits, for housing rehabilitation activities through a revolving loan fund. This agreement includes te World Changers program during the early summer. A similar program is also available through the Housing and Community Development Department for Casper city residents.
