The Preschool is divided into four different programs, each one progressing to the next level. The first is the two-year old Playgroup meeting one morning a week. This is followed by the 2 Day program for 3 year olds, the 3 Day program for 4 year olds and finally the Young 5s which is designed for children who desire an extra year of preschool or who just miss the school district's cut-off date for entering kindergarten.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and family members needing support.


Fees: None except for offenders' program, which is a cost of $15 per week for 20 weeks of group.

Staff: Trained paid and volunteer advocates who are para-professionals specializing in domestic violence and sexual assault. (Shelter staff generally work weekdays and have flexible hours in order to meet the needs of residents. Night managers provide security seven nights a week.)

SERVICES PROVIDED: Transitional housing and supportive services to homeless single parent families. Thirteen apartments provide for individual privacy and safety needs for families. Professional staff provides case management services, including coordination of services with other agencies and on-site programs, groups and activities in life skills, parenting, job skills, personal growth, and peer support. A complete program is available for homeless children, including assessment, referral, life skills, social skills, and creative therapies, along with tutoring for preschool through 12th grade.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: All residents of Seton House must be homeless, without a permanent nighttime residence and meet state poverty income guidelines.

Fees: Upon receiving income, residents are charged 15% of their monthly income for rent.

Staff: Executive Director, Administrative Assistant/Part-time Night Manager, Program Director/Case Manager, Shelter Services Coordinator, Children’s Services/K-12 Program Coordinator, Full-time Night Manager, Part-time Maintenance and Volunteers.

SERVICES PROVIDED: Skilled Nursing Care, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Activities, Social Services, Dietary Services as well as Pharmacy, Dental, Linen and Housekeeping services.

The center provides 24-hour professional nursing service supported by skilled personnel on duty at all times to assure that each resident receives treatments, medications and diet as prescribed by their attending physician. Proper skin care is given to prevent decubitus. Residents are kept comfortable, clean and well groomed. Attention is given to protect residents from accident and injury by providing a safe environment. Transportation is provided for medical appointments scheduled outside of the care center.

Rehabilitation services are available in addition to restorative nursing services, which are part of the routine care plan for each resident. In addition to a full-time physical therapist and specially trained rehab technicians, the facility is served by a speech therapist and an occupational therapist. A dietitian and a dietary manager meet with each resident on a continuing basis to insure that individual dietary needs and individual tastes are met.

Full-time Activity Staff, Certified Assistants and over 50 volunteers provide experiences and events to maintain minds, bodies, and spirits. Some of these events include exercise, arts and crafts, church services, sing-a-longs, bus trips, shopping, dances, library visits, bingo, nail care, and preparation of monthly newsletter.

Two full-time Social Workers are on staff to assure that both resident and family needs are met before, during, and after the admission process has been completed.

An active Resident Council meets monthly to provide a forum for residents to express their concerns, needs and interests.

A full-time Chaplain is available to help residents with their spiritual needs. Residents are able to attend weekly worship services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, which is physically connected to the Care Center.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Admit on doctor's order.

Staff: Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses and over 200 other staff including, dietary, activities, pharmacy services, Certified Nursing Assistants, rehab, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, office and social services.

Accreditation Or Licenses: Licensed by the State Department of Health and Social Services. Certified for both Medicare and Medicaid.

SERVICES PROVIDED: SSA provides benefits under two programs; Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). SSI benefits are paid to those who qualify as aged (65 or older), blind or disabled. Social Security benefits may be paid to those who have retired or become blind or disabled and their qualifying spouses and children. Deceased persons' spouses or children may also qualify for benefits. Social Security provides Medicare to those who have received disability benefits for two years or who are over 65 years old.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: SSI requires that the applicant be 65 years old, blind or disabled, is a U.S. citizen or a legally admitted resident alien and resides in the USA. The applicant and their spouse's or parent(s) income are considered in determining the amount of payment and the resources (assets) owned by the claimant, their wife or their parent will also be considered.

Social Security requires a wage earner pay into Social Security before they or their 'auxiliaries' can be considered "insured" for benefits. The amount of the person's check is based on the amount of contribution in the years before filing a claim. For those who are filing on someone else's record, proof of their relationship to that person is needed, a marriage certificate, for example. Age is also important, so a birth certificate or baptismal certificate is required.

Staff: District Manager, Management Support Specialist, 6 Claims Representatives, and 2 Service Representatives.

Geographical Area Served: The Casper District Office currently serves Natrona, Converse, Washakie, and Niobrara Counties. The Casper office has offices in Cody and Riverton as well.

Application Procedures: People can come into the office or make appointments. If their need is to file a claim, then the best choice is to make an appointment, which could either be face to face in the office or by telephone. If the person needs to change their address, report earnings, set up or discontinue direct deposit or take care of other simple matters, they do not need an appointment. To set up an appointment by telephone, they can call the national 1 800 number 1-800-772-1213, or call the Casper office at 307-261-6209. Long distance direct to the office can be done through 1-800-780-1106.

Summer Competition: Basketball, Gymnastics, Track and Field, Aquatics, Power Lifting
Unified Competition: Pairs athletes with mental retardation with athletes without mental retardation with similar ability levels on bowling and softball teams
Fall Competition: Bowling, Soccer, Equestrian, Cycling, Softball

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Any individual, eight years of age or older who has been diagnosed as having mental retardation, is eligible to participate. The diagnosis must be one of significantly sub-average general intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior.

Fees: Registration fees are assessed to local teams. Monies to cover these costs are generated from the volunteer sector on community level fund-raising donations.

Staff: Consists of an Executive Director and Program Sports Director

Fees: $2.50 per hour; $15.00 per day for 2 years old and older. $16.00 per day infants. $7.00 per day for Before and After School children.
