SERVICES PROVIDED: Our office provides the following services: Locate of non-custodial parents, Establishment of paternity, establishment of child support and medical support orders, enforce child support and medical support orders, initiate and respond to interstate cases, enforce spousal support, if included in a child support order, review and modify child support orders based on change in circumstances.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Anyone who has custody of a child and needs help establishing who is the father of the child, establish a child support order, or collecting current or past due child support payments.
Fees: If you have never received POWER benefits and/or Medicaid benefits in the State of Wyoming and you want to request child support services, you must apply for services and pay a fee of $25.00.

SERVICES PROVIDED: The project provides information and applications to families, works with other human service agencies to maintain a network of application sites throughout the county, acts as a liaison with the Department of Family Services, and exhibits at a variety of community events.
Information on the following healthcare coverage options is available:
Kid Care Plan A. Formerly known as Medicaid for Children, covers all children up to six years of age who fall under the maximum income limits. It also covers some children and teens from six through 18 years of age. This coverage provides complete healthcare benefits, including dental and vision. Applicants may have other insurance and sill qualify for Plan A, which will then pay for deductibles, co-pays and services not covered by the primary insurance carrier.
Kid Care Plan B. The Childrens Health Insurance Program, covers children and teens ages 6 through 18 whose family income exceeds the limits for Plan A but still falls below the maximum limits. This plan also provides complete coverage, including dental and vision. Applicants for this plan may not have other coverage or have voluntarily given up coverage within the past 30 days.
Kid Care Plan C. Which will cover children aged 0 through 18 years, at a higher income level, which has not yet been implemented. It is intended that families will pay no more than $200 per year for coverage provided by a private insurer. Benefits for this program will not include dental or vision. Applicants for this plan may not have other coverage or have voluntarily given up coverage within the past 30 days.
All Kid Care Health Care Plans may be applied for by using a simple mail-in application. No documentation is required and each plan provides continuous coverage for 12 months. (Families may renew each year as long as they meet the age and income requirements.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield Caring Program is available to families whose incomes exceed the limits for the Kid Care Health Care Plans, yet fall within the Caring Program guidelines. This no-cost plan provides physicians visits, emergency outpatient care, diagnostic x-rays and laboratory services, routine immunizations and prescriptions. There are some limited dental benefits. Applicants for this plan may not have other insurance.
Wyoming Dental Health Program is open to children up to 19 years of age and will pay 85% of charges for any type of dental work needed up to a maximum of $1,000 once every three years. A separate program will pay up to $3,300 plus the cost of an exam and records for children who need braces to correct a condition that interferes with chewing, speech or breathing.

SERVICES PROVIDED: Even Start is a family literacy program offering adult education, early childhood education, and parent/child education. Located at North Casper School, Even Start offers free childcare during all adult ed and evening ESL classes. Families participate in parenting workshops and fun, family-centered home visits promoting parent and child time (PACT). Even Start uses the Parents as Teachers curriculum supporting parents in their roles as their childs/childrens first and best teachers.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 1) Families from Natrona County live in a Title I school area; 2) One or both parents are eligible to attend adult basic education or ESL classes; 3) One child in the family is between the ages of birth and eight years old.
Fees: All services are free.

Even Start encourages family referrals by community-wide programs and social service agencies; the Casper College ABE/GED program in partnership with Even Start; various Title 1 Schools; the All Ready preschool program, located at North Casper School.
Parents complete Even Start Enrollment forms, enroll, and take the TABE and/or pre-GED tests, attending adult education classes. When parents skill levels are sufficient, they are scheduled for testing at the Casper College GED testing site. After enrolling, children are screened by the Child Development Center.

SERVICES PROVIDED: Provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Disaster Services: Assists the victims of natural and man-made disasters through case management. Helps to provide shelter, food, clothing, and first aid. Assists in the cleanup and rebuilding of our community. These disaster services include, but are not limited to; single family fires, flood, tornadoes, severe winter storms, water contamination, and hazardous materials situations. Helps support emergency services workers in cooperation with emergency agencies during disasters and helps the community through disaster preparation and education.
Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES): Provides military families with emergency communication, financial assistance, counseling, information and referral services when "Help Can't Wait" through trained Red Cross/AFES Caseworkers 24 hours a day. These services help families stay in touch in times of need.
Health and Safety: Provides safety training to the community in; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Aquatics and Swimming Lessons, Babysitter's Courses, Youth Safety Training, and Safety Training for Coaches. Also provides education in the workplace to meet OSHA requirements and provide HIV/AIDS education to all areas of the community. By offering these courses, at moderate cost, we are able to help our community become a safer place to live.

Fees: Disaster and AFES services are provided at no charge. Instruction fees for Health and Safety vary with class.

SERVICES PROVIDED: Monthly newsletters are provided as well as monthly meetings that include our business meeting as well as training meetings for licensed child care providers. This training is approved by State Department of Family Services. Work through various events such as Health Fair and Week of the Young Child to encourage quality child care. Work closely with Natrona County Department of Family Services, Nutritional Services and W.E.C.A., WAFCC, offer a referral service, discounts at local business, wholesale toy orders, books and current favorite children's videos for checkout, toy rental library, and are a valuable support group to all.
Recess for the summer months.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Come to our monthly meetings and training - we exclude no one. We do encourage providers to become licensed. Parents and community are also welcome as well as other agencies.

SERVICES PROVIDED: As stated in Wyoming Statutes §14-3-212, the child protection teams may assist and coordinate with the State, the local child protective agency and all available agencies and organizations dealing with children, facilitate diagnosis and prognosis and provide an adequate treatment plan for the abused and neglected child and his/her family. The business team's mission is to increase public awareness of child abuse and neglect and to encourage positive community response for the protection of children.
The Natrona County Child Protection Team is made up of volunteers from numerous community agencies whose primary service deals with children. Reviewing and Staffing Teams provide recommendations for reported abuse and neglect cases.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Business Team; members are generally affiliated with service provision to children. Applicants must complete application forms and are voted upon for membership inclusion. Active participation is required.

Minimum Medical Program (MMP) Payment to health care providers to help pay oxygen and for some prescription drugs.
Qualified Medical Beneficiaries Program (QMB) Assistance paying premiums and deductibles for individuals receiving Medicare.
Special Low-Income Medicare Beneficiaries(SLMB) Assistance paying Medicare Part B premium.

Low Income Energy Assistance Program Contracted to private provider. Provides financial support for individuals and families who are at risk due to energy costs.
Referrals to Other Resources Maintain an active information and referral index and active referral agreements with most local service agencies.
SOCIAL SERVICES
Investigative Services Twenty-four hour access to trained investigators for individuals needing to file complaints of child protection or adult protection matters (473-3900). Service is limited to protective matters.
Crisis Intervention Services Assessment, planning and stabilization services for individuals and families.
Home-Based Services Preventive, home-based services for families suffering early signs of trouble which could, if untreated, lead to the child entering the juvenile services systems or the child having to be removed from the home because of child protection issues.
Child Placement Services Services for children who cannot live in their own home. This ranges from foster home to institutional placement.
Adoption Placement of special needs children in adoptive homes.
Assessment and Supervision for Out-of-State Social Service Agencies Administers the Interstate Compact on the placement of children in Natrona County.
Court Services Prepares specific studies for the District Court, including home studies, juvenile court studies, and others as ordered by the District Court.
Referral Services Maintain an extensive information and referral directory and has active referral agreements with most local agencies.
Juvenile Probation and Parole Court ordered services to juveniles who have been adjudicated delinquent.
Case Planning and Coordination Provides case leadership and case teamwork for cases requiring interdisciplinary intervention as well as families in need of intervention.

Family Assistance Services Generally income and resource requirements are applied. Each program has separate requirements.
Youth and Family Services Children, families and adults who are in need of protection and other services.

SERVICES PROVIDED: Head Start provides a free, early intervention program to low-income, at-risk children, 3 5 years of age and their families. Each child receives a developmental, hearing, vision and health screening. Our program provides activities that address the childs cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Children in the center-based program attend 4 or 5 days per week for 3 _ hours each, as well as receive a home visit twice a month to work on the goals of the children. Staff also assists families in identifying and meeting goals for their family.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Serving low-income families with children ages 3 5. Enrollment based on income and need.

SERVICES PROVIDED: WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. WIC assists women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or within 6 months post-partum time, infants and children up to age five. If income eligible, a WIC screening is performed by a WIC nutritionist or nurse. The applicant receives nutrition counseling and information regarding prenatal care, infant and child care, etc., as needed. Appropriate referrals are made to other service agencies for further assistance. If the applicant qualifies for WIC benefits, he/she receives a supplemental food package in the form of checks which identifies specific nutritious foods that may be purchased at the store. These WIC foods include milk, cheese, juice, cereal, eggs, peanut butter or dried beans or peas, infant formula, infant juice and cereal. Additional foods such as tuna and carrots are added for the fully breastfeeding woman. The WIC food package is tailored to the individual nutritional needs of the applicant. Ongoing nutrition and health information is provided monthly. Breastfeeding education and support is available through trained WIC professionals.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Reside in Wyoming. Are a pregnant, postpartum (within 6 months) or breastfeeding woman, an infant or child under 5 years of age. Have a nutritional need. Have a household income that is less than or equal to the income eligibility guidelines.

SERVICES PROVIDED:
Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) - The program is an arm of the Federal School Lunch Program, administered by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, through which child care providers receive nutrition education and cash reimbursements for providing nutritional snacks and/or meals to the children in their care.
We also offer child care at three Quality Child Caring Centers located in Casper.
Child Care Centers - To help meet the community's needs for child care, Nutrition and Child Development, Inc. has established three child care centers in Casper. The three Quality Child Caring Centers are located at 12 South Curtis - Evansville, Sunrise Shopping Center, and 332 S. Washington Street. The centers offer all day child care for infants through school age children as well as a morning pre-school program.
Child Care Conferences - As a sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program, Nutrition & Child Development, Inc. holds several workshops annually throughout the State. These workshops are aimed at providing knowledge in nutrition to child care providers, but frequently include other topics such as discipline, parent involvement and health issues. Workshops meet state requirements for recertification hours for child care providers.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To take part in the CACFP, participants must be (1) licensed, or (2) license-exempt child care providers who have 1-2 children, of which at least one child's care is paid for by Department of Family Services.
Fees: Free, assistance is free, call for child care rates.
Staff: Consists of an Executive Director, Child Care Coordinator, State Field Director, Developmental Director, professional support personnel and child care staff. All child care staff meets Department of Family Services requirements.
Accreditation or License: All three Quality Child Caring Centers are licensed in Wyoming.
Geographical Area Served: CACFP services are provided statewide. The Quality Child Caring Centers are located only in Casper.
Application Procedures: For Child and Adult Care Food Program participation, certified providers call the administrative office indicating their desire to enroll. The field representatives make a site visit for approval, and the provider fills out an application regarding their child care operation.
