SERVICES PROVIDED: A pregnancy center and women’s ministry offering free pregnancy test, free maternity and baby clothes, some baby equipment, community referrals, and adoption support and education. Diapers and formula are disturbed on an emergency needs basis. Abortion education and lay, peer counseling for post abortion syndrome, prenatal development and parenting. New cribs and car seats can be obtained by attending four sessions of prenatal/parenting education classes through our Mommy and Me Program. Incentives also available for women exploring adoption. Information, education and support for sexual abstinence until marriage, as well as a speaker’s bureau describing different personal approaches to an unexpected or unintended pregnancy are available.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: None

Fees: All services are free.

Staff: Lay persons who have had a training course and monthly on-going training.

Application Procedures: Calling for appointment is best but walk-ins are accepted as schedule permits. Appointments are scheduled for 30 – 40 minutes for both pregnancy tests and for the Lending Closet. Clients fill out a short "Request for Service" form and staff members fill out an intake form during the appointment for each client.

SERVICES PROVIDED: CASA recruits and trains volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system. Volunteers are screened carefully and must complete 30 hours of training prior to being sworn in. Volunteers make a minimum one-year commitment and receive 10 hours additional training annually.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Cases referred to CASA come only through the courts or upon request of the child's attorney/Guardian ad Litem. Abuse/Neglect cases only.

Fees: No fees are charged to clients. Volunteers are expected to pay a portion of the cost of records checks during the screening process.

Staff: Program Director, Volunteer Coordinator, and an Administrative Assistant.

CASPER AREA TRANSPORTATION COALITION, INC. (CATC)

SERVICES PROVIDED: CATC provides transportation to members of the general public who are elderly or disabled or transportation disadvantaged. Passengers not falling into these categories, are served on a space available basis. Reservations for next service must be made no later than 3:00 p.m. the day before.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Senior Citizens are eligible at age 60. Disabled has no age requirement but proof of disability may be required.

Fees: Senior Citizens and disabled $1.00 per one way trip. $3.00 per one way trip for general public and $0.50 for children 12 and under when accompanied by an adult traveling to the same destination.

Staff: Administrators, 8 full-time drivers, 2 full-time drivers, 7 part-time drivers, 5 part-time bus aides.

Geographical Area Served: CATC serves Casper, Mills, Evansville, Bar Nunn and urbanized areas of the County.

Application Procedures: First time passengers are asked to complete an information card to determine correct tickets and emergency contacts. In addition, any special assistance that is required.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Counseling services are primarily intended for Casper College students, faculty, and staff. Career and academic counseling are available to those showing an interest in enrolling in Casper College. The specialist in testing can be contacted by anyone seeking testing services.

Transportation is offered.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Our program serves low-income families and families with needs.

Fees: No charge.

Staff: Our staff includes three Early Childhood Educators, a cook, bus driver and a nurse.

Accreditation or License: Early Head Start is licensed through the Department of Family Services.

SERVICES PROVIDED: The Casper Police Department provides comprehensive law enforcement and crime prevention services for the citizens of Casper, along with law enforcement support services for Natrona County. Major department divisions include:

2. Crime Related Investigation and Detective Services;
3. Crime Prevention Unit provides free inspection of homes and businesses, offering increased security suggestions. Drug Talks and Sexual Assault Talks;

SERVICES PROVIDED: Vet Centers exist for all veterans who proudly served their country during combat hostilities. Counseling is available for combat veterans and dependants from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Vietnam Era Veterans, Lebanon, Granada, Panama, Persian Gulf and Somalia. Relapse Prevention Group; Women Veterans Group; Combat Veteran/PTSD Group; Couples Therapy and WWII Veterans Group. This includes services for sexual trauma/harassment counseling for Veterans of all eras.
Eligibility Requirements-: Veterans who served during combat eras and served in combat. Eligibility includes immediate family members and dependents.

SERVICES PROVIDED: We provide both pregnancy and adoption services statewide to Wyoming residents.
Pregnancy services. Pregnancy services include help with decision making and planning, linkage with community resources, and adoptive placement if desired. Temporary foster care is available for infants and for females during pregnancy. Medical expenses may be covered if someone places, has no insurance, and is ineligible for Medicaid. Limited emergency assistance may be available for basic needs.

Adoption services. We provide both infant and special needs adoption services and can assist with the Wyoming part of intercountry adoption. The process includes application, a home study, placement, and post-placement supervision.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Pregnancy - anyone with an untimely or unplanned pregnancy, birth fathers, and their families. Adoptions - (1) Applications are accepted from Wyoming residents regardless of race or creed. All must be active and practicing in their religion. (2) Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and married at least two years. (3) The couple must be in good physical and mental health, as verified by a physician. (4) They must have a suitable residence and economic stability. (5) Applications for infant adoption are limited to couples unsuccessful in conceiving or carrying a baby to term. If it has been medically determined that a pregnancy is genetically inadvisable or a health hazard for the mother, applications may also be accepted.

Fees: - Pregnancy services - free. Adoption services - Set fees for application and home study. Infant placement fee - sliding scale. Special needs placement fee for supervision is often covered by adoption subsidy. Payment arrangements are possible. Medical and legal expenses are the adoptive parents' responsibility.

Staff: Executive Director and Caseworkers. Full-time Director, part-time paid staff in various towns around Wyoming.

Accreditation or Licenses: Certified by the State as an Adoption Agency and a Child Placing Agency.
